Comments (it cut me off) I'm sure you've encountered much of the negativity surrounding immigrants in this country and I am sad to say that it has only gotten worse.. the things that people have said to me are just disgusting.. So your book is very refreshing and inspiring and helps to remind me that God IS on our side which often times I doubt.. and I worry how God feels about my husband even though the choice to come illegaly was not his but his parent's choice.. I guess what I am trying to say is Thank You..

Comments Hi.. I related to your book in a way that only someone who has gone through this could.. my husband is currently illegal and we are the process.. He was brought here when he was only 2 years old.. we've been together for 7 years now.. I am wondering how did you fix Antonio's status back then because it is SO difficult now! Even for an immigrant who did not make the choice to come here and was 2 years old, and is now married to a U.S. citizen, it still takes at LEAST two years, thousands of dollars, and a risky trip back to Mexico to submit a waiver and pray for an approval.. I was SHOCKED when I got to the end of the book and saw that the story was real.. I almost cried.. it was just such a beautiful story and to know that it was at least partially real was so amazing.. I just ordered the rest of the Regalo Grande series.. and I can't wait to read them.. It was great to see a book that has to do with illegal immigration and is also being written with a Christian perspective.. I'm sure you encountered much of the negativity

Comments I came to this website by a link from Suzanne Beecher's book club page after reading the brief synopsis of your book, As I Have Loved You. Wow, I was swept away by your testimony of how you were led to write and of your deep faith and willingness to follow God's call. Your reference to following the light made chills run through me because I had just this morning shared my analogy of light/darkness with my brother: my walking to my rural mailbox some distance in the darkness and not being able to see the way to step; then walking back to my house, facing the light, and being able to clearly see the path to follow. And that is the same as walking in darkness in life--you may lose the way. But when you walk toward The Light the path is clear. I was not familiar with your name or work before tonight; now I cannot wait to get this book and read it, especially after reading a review on your web site. I wish you well in your writing endeavors, and I know God will continue to bless you as you so willingly share your faith with other
