Comments I have been infatuated w Dale for the last year. Seeing her dancing in “I”ll Feel a Lot Better” was key as she looked like my wife and danced like her !!! However, I have three questions that have not been answered: 1. How did she drown in 1987? 2. Who is the father of her late son Alfie. 3. Why did she go by Vann and not Vandenberg? I have been reading some books by Ian Whitcomb who had a relationship w Dale. His book are great. Unfortunately, he would never answer these questions before he died(((

Comments [continued post]...She accepted and for the first half of the song we were the only ones on the dance floor, then other couples also started dancing. That was the only time I ever spoke to her, and I never danced with her again. But throughout the years I have always regarded it as one of my life's peak moments: 19-year-old me, breaking the ice on the dance floor at The Trip with Gazzarri Dancer June, while The Grass Roots were singing the lyrics "Ain't that lovin' you baby, and you don't even know my name." Perfecto. From June's autobiography: "...'The Trip Nightclub' (hottest club in town)...Us Gazzarri Dancers performed there by tearing up the dance floor when we felt like it." And once, just once, I won the cosmic lottery and June Wilson and I tore up the dance floor at The Trip together.

Comments My June Fairchild story: I went to The Trip nightclub around 20 times between Sept. 1965 and Mar. 1966, frequently noticing June there. She was totally out of my league; usually she was sitting at the special tables off the left side of the dance floor. In addition to her beauty and dance talent, her personality, charm, sense of humor (which was obvious when she would Statue dance), frivolity, and dance energy attracted and entertained me. From June's autobiography: "...a very popular Nightclub 'THE TRIP'. Us dancers after filming, would always drop in to dance some more! Everyone loved it when we showed up!" Well I sure did! I liked to go to The Trip early so I could get a fairly good table. Performers I saw there included Barry McGuire, The Byrds, The Leaves, The Grass Roots, The Muthers, The Sinners. One night The Grass Roots were a few songs into their opening set and nobody had yet "broken the ice" on the dance floor. A good song started, I took a deep now-or-never breath, walked over and asked June to dance. She ac

Comments So many fond memories. Our house bands were LA Rocks, Monkey Chow, Brand Blvd, and Guns and Rose's (via battle of the Bands). I was there from 81 thru 84.

Comments Searched YT for Bo Diddley vids and the HAGG showed up. I am now practically obsessed with the Gazarri dancers. So much youthful energy and shows the vibe of WeHo in the mid 60's. I immigrated to LA in 1971 and would missed out on the Sunset Blvd scene when it really counted.

Comments A few weeks ago I got obsessed with one Of the dancers in a Byrds video on YT. At the time I thought my chances of finding out who she was Were minimal. But suddenly the puzzle pieces came together and I found out she is Dale Vann who had a romantic interest with Ian Whitcomb. So I just tried to contact him on FB. However, I was crushed when I found out what happened to Dale. It would have been so special to meet her On the Strip in 1965.

Comments Really fun watching the Gazzarri dancers. Hard to pick a favorite but I do like Dawn a lot (one reason: she is the shortest). I hope some or most of the dancers are on facebook or maybe have their own webpage.

Comments Dawn Michaels one of the Gazzarri Dancers is a friend of mine. I was one of the Discotheque Dancers also that toured with the Beatles in 1965. On Dawn's page you have a few photos in two rows of shots from Shea Stadium when we danced with the Beatles, one of them is not Dawn it is me, the top one on the left. Is Dawn still alive?

Comments So I got a question. Is there a list of the winners of the Miss Gazzarri Dancers and if so who won in 1973? It's actually really important. Please e-mail.

Comments I am so very thrilled to have found this site! I used to come dance on both Hollywood A Go-Go and 9th Street West almost all the time and have many memories of it. These were some of the best times of my teen years! 🎶

Comments Back in the mid 60's while in Naval Air, and away from home for long periods of time, we often wondered how the girls looked. How far above the knee the skirts were, the new songs etc. Arriving back state-side we rushed to the lounge as we were told about HAGG and its sights an sounds. The Gazzarri dancers said it all. Gorgeous girls, skirts well above the knee, and the super sounds of the time. De De Mollner caught my eye doing the Mashed Potato with her famed side kick, flowing to the music with her hair flying wildly with superb moves as with all the dancers.. So sorry for Dale, Jacqui, and June. To all of the girls of HAGG, You are the Best of the Best then and now. Thanks for the memories. Joe

Comments Loved them! I was in bands 65-70. A friend of mine Roger Holmes, was bass player for Gazzari's from about 67-69 while he went to school. I was in a band called The Vyne.....the glory years of the flower generation! Cool site, they were the best dance group! They actually had routines!

Comments Happy Anniversary! Last month (January, 2015) was the 50th anniversary of "Hollywood A-Go-Go"'s national premiere. If it hasn't happened yet, I hope that sometime this year there will be a reunion party for surviving members of the "Hollywood A-Go-Go" production team including producers, directors, technicians, production support staff, host Sam Riddle since I think he's still around, and of course, the remaining Gazzarri Dancers. And I bet that the surviving Gazzarri dancers (and Sam Riddle, too!) can still "cut a rug"!

Comments I just love this site with all the woderful talented dandcers that I watch everyday. I just love their dance moves that I try to pracrice at age 60! I was young at the time but lived near the area but I was then aftraid of dancing. I hope more people see this site and look at what is so cool and hip at the time. I hope the dancers are doing well and have a good life ahead of them they set a lot of standards! Love it! Keep it up! LC Rush
