Comments Perfect day and perfect water conditions. All fish cought on #18 scuds/san juan warm/and dry flies. I had a yellow indicator on, couple fish rised to my indicator and tried to take it. So I put a #16 Blonde Wulff and got 3 browns on it.

Where did you fish? 80 miles/$43
Comments I arrived at the tailwaters recreation area at right about 3 PM and caught one little bow and a 15" brown on a size 24 tan scud. didn't catch another fish until about 6:30 when there was a very nice black caddis hatch and I landed two nice bows and one small brown in the next hour. Also messed around with a school of carp I saw up close to the #$@%! but didn't land but one of the 3 I hooked into on a woolly bugger.

Where did you fish? 150 & 20.00
Comments Fished for 6 hours. Caught 3 "14 inch browns. Drifted egg and midge pattern. Fish opted for the midge. Lots of fisherman out. Did not seem like a fish festival based on observing others. Swung clousers and Woolies - nothing. Water went to 4.2 at aprox 3pm. Game over!!

Where did you fish? 180 miles $15/00
Comments Comfortably warm day at 64 degrees and overcast. Water level was ideal at 3.45 cfs. Worked various streamers with no success - grey/white - all black w/red flash - chartreuse w/white. Nothing. Took all fish on small midge patterns.

Comments Water was close to 4.0 on gauge and 500+ cfs. Largest fish came on grey/white clouser. Missed another solid fish on same pattern. Fished with partner who received positive streamer feedback during what seemed to be about a 1 hour window, then activity abruptly terminated.

Comments Interesting scenario developed this past Monday afternoon. Drove down to the concrete hole and arrived around 5pm. As usual I parked behind the Marathon station. As I was rigging up, my periphery caught two individuals walking down to the concrete hole without any fishing gear. I payed special attention to them because they kept looking back at me as they disappeared into the hole. It didn't seem right so I broke pattern and went downstream, entered at the bridge and worked my way up the north bank just to get an idea as to what the two individuals were up to. As I got closer to the hole , they were just sitting at the base of the concrete hole just watching me. I started "pretend" fishing the very unproductive part of the hole, staying close to the north bank. After about 15 minutes, one of them stood up, whispered to the other and at that point it felt weird. I eased back toward the bridge and exited onto the north bank with the intent of heading to 252 where there were some houses. As I moved up the stream bank, i coul

Comments Hard time getting the right fly, still fooled a couple of nice ones on dry caddis, hooked a very large rainbow, probably over 17" on a olive WD-40, broke me off, only one I had, can't say if it was a fluke or that was going to be the fly, I will find out next time!

Comments Best fishing was from 7am - 1030am. Midge then Trico hatch. Fish were eating mostly emerges (you could see the backs and tails breaking the surface, not their noses). I used a seine to sample bugs; the naturals were basically a size 30/32. I was able to fool a few of them on a size 26 midge emerger.

Comments Very low and clear water -- almost all fish caught nymphing in the few deep carve-outs with a zebra midge. 18" brown was fat, healthy, released no problem. Make sure to use the proper revival technique with the larger fish -- this one needed help for a good 45 sec.

Comments Very fun day on the creek. Only euro nymphing with a mono rig today. These fish appear to eat any nymph pattern as long as it is getting down, with a good drift. I have only been using 5x Fluro tippet. Thanks CITU.
